Basic information
The Jahon public organization has a long history, starting with its official registration, confirmed by certificate No. 442 dated October 19, 1998. Over time, the organization underwent re-registration, the last stages of which include re-registration under numbers No. 356A dated November 30, 2007, No. 356 B dated September 22, 2016 and No. 356 B dated June 24, 2021. “Jahon” is dedicated to increasing the self- and legal awareness of the population through active participation in civic education.
Mission of the organization
The public organization “Jahon” is designed to promote the development of civil society in the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as to increase guarantees for the protection and promotion of human rights. This is achieved by combining the efforts of the country’s government, public and business sectors. The mission of the organization is aimed at creating favorable conditions for interaction between various spheres of society in order to improve public life and protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens.
Activities
- Promoting increased guarantees for the protection of human rights, taking into account the equal rights of men and women in the Republic of Tajikistan.
- Increasing the level of self-awareness and legal awareness of the population through civic education in the Republic of Tajikistan.
- Contribute to improving the level of transparency and accountability of the Government.
